What is placenta encapsulation?
Human Placentophagy is the act of consuming your placenta after the birth of your child. There are many different ways that women like to do this but the main one is encapsulation. Encapsulation consists of dehydrating the placenta with the preferred method the family has chosen and then once dehydrated it is placed into capsules for consumption. Although no true research has been conducted to prove that placenta encapsulation really helps, the facts and knowledge have proved time and time again that there are great benefits for mothers.
As humans we are the only "mammal" that does not consume their placenta regularly after birth. Most animals consume their placenta for the Iron, minerals and substance after birth. Of course they also consume their placenta to hide the fact that they gave birth from predators. That is besides the point though with talking about human placentaophagy. For as long as time goes back there have been accounts of many differnet cultures condutctiong the ritual of consuming the placenta or making healing medicines from it.
What are the benefits of encapsulation?

It is also said that these healing chemicals are contained in the placenta and in turn choosing to consume the placenta you are replenishing them into your system

-Oxytocin: for pain and bonding; produced during breastfeeding to facilitate bonding of mother and infant.

I offer two types of preparation for placenta encapsulation. The first being the raw method and the second the Traditional Method.
Placenta is rinsed and then thinly sliced into small pieces. It is then placed into the dehydrated and dehydrated at 160 degrees until the placenta has fully dehydrated. This can take anywhere form 24-36 hours. Once the placenta is fully dehydrated it is ground up and placed into capsules. This processes produces more pills.
Placenta is rinsed and is placed in a pot to steam with hot peppers, lemons and ginger until the fluids no longer are bloody. Once the steaming is done the placenta is sliced into thing pieces and placed in the dehydrator. This method produces less pills.
